5 Reasons why people fall off their health and wellness journey.
Written by James Clegg on Aug. 2nd 2022

Starting any health and wellness journey can be exciting, but equally a little overwhelming. There is so much conflicting information out there, sometimes it is just a struggle to even understand where to start.

We all have a perception of how we would like to look and feel, making that perception a reality is something we all aspire to do.

If we start our journey with misguided information we don’t get the traction that we hoped for. This can unfortunately result in us not achieving what we set out to do, or we lose traction within days or weeks of starting.

We also have a tendency to look at a wellness journey as a certain time period, implementing tasks and processes that don’t reflect what our lives need. It’s really important to integrate health and wellness and look at longevity rather than quick fixes that don’t last long term.

We all have different likes and dislikes and it’s important that your health and wellness journey is an enjoyable one. Many health and fitness professionals will often push clients into exercise programming they don’t particularly enjoy. Of course there may need to be some sacrifices along the way, but it’s important that you are committing to things that you can see yourself sticking to. My methods are completely bespoke and unique to your goals and your fulfilment.

To give you an understanding of where you may have been stumbling along the way, I have listed below some of the reasons why you may feel constantly frustrated at not getting the health and wellness results you want, and why you have not been able to stay on your wellness journey;

1. Unrealistic Planning
We can set too Big of an outcome goal at the beginning. This can result in poor planning and not looking at the required processes to get to what we want to achieve.

2. Unrealistic Expectations
We put too much pressure on ourselves and set unrealistic objectives.

3. Reliance on Willpower
We try to accomplish our goals with willpower alone instead of working on our habits and behaviors.

4. Comparison with Others
We take on other peoples plans, but these are not based on what we need.
A bespoke program will help you achieve and be the best version of you.

5. Transformational change
We potentially try to change too many things at once, Life can become miserable and you lose all the things she wants enjoyed. Unique programming and set up is crucial for success
